背景

這首詩是 Carl Sandburg 在芝加哥寫的，描寫港口邊霧茫茫的風景。

當時他手上只有一小張紙，於是仿日本的俳句寫了這首短詩。

順道一提，俳句(haiku)原本是一種日本詩，但現在這個格式也常在英文詩中被使用，下次再來介紹。
